The sixth edition of The European Conference by UniCredit brought together nearly 400 delegates from across Europe and took place on Thursday, 26 September 2019 in Munich. Corporate Treasurers and delegates from a broad range of Financial Institutions attended a series of panels and exchanged views with experts and industry specialists throughout the day.
Our Keynote Session was kicked-off by Marco Valli, Head of Macro Research and Chief European Economist, with his economic outlook, followed by a moderated dialogue between Viviane Reding, former Commissioner of the European Union/ Member of the European Parliament and Olivier Khayat, Co-CEO Commercial Banking Western European, UniCredit on “Re-energizing Europe – Which reforms are needed to strengthen the economy, the institutions and the commitment of Europe’s citizens?“.
The European Conference saw two streams running in parallel. The Capital Market Roundtables dedicated to Financial Institutions and SSAs on topics such as “The impact of the TLTRO-III on Banks’ balance sheets and Asset Liability Management” as well as “Capital Management using Significant Risk Transfer”.
Parallel to the Capital Market Roundtables, the second stream of the conference focused on topical issues for Corporate Treasurers such as „Commodities hedging – The evolving role of banks“ and „Time deposits – special aspects of the bail-in“.
